Do you have a broken household item you would like fixed?Don't throw it away- bring your broken item to us and let's give it a second life. We are partnering with Repair Cafe CNY to bring you Lysander's very first Repair Cafe! Our Repair Coaches can help you fix your item for free! This helps you to reduce waste, share skills, save money, and build community.
BEE WELL: Mental Health Awareness Window Paint-a-thon

Want to spread positive vibes throughout our hive? 🐝 Registration is now open for the annual "Bee Well Mental Health Awareness Window Paint-a-thon" in the village of Baldwinsville. Come help us paint the windows throughout the village to raise awareness for mental health. 🖌️🎨This event takes place rain or shine, so please come dressed appropriately! ☔This is a FREE PROGRAM. Please submit your registration form by Friday, April 24th, 2026, to ensure your spot. Space is limited, so please register ahead of time.
Junk in Your Trunk Sale

Do you have items in your home that you're not using anymore? Come do a little spring cleaning and get rid of all your “junk” by selling it out of your trunk (of your car – of course). Lysander Parks and Recreation is bringing back the Junk in Your Trunk Sale on May 9th, from 8:00am to 2:00pm. We'll use beads, strings, and items we find in nature to create a suncatcher that will brighten any space!

You and your STEAM team will engineer your way from sea to shining sea, from the Statue of Liberty to the Golden Gate Bridge, from the Hawaiian Volcanoes to the Floridian Theme Parks, to an exciting world of pit stops in between. This imagination fueled excursion across the USA promises to have camper smiling from coast to coast! 🌴🔎 Challenge Island is hosting Road Trip USA STEAM camp at Lysander Town Park for the week of June 29th! This craft is perfect to run around and play with, or to hang up as decoration in your home. We'll use paper, watercolors, tissue paper, and string to make this colorful masterpiece!

Join us for the 10th anniversary year of GEMS+ Summer Camp!GEMS stands for "Girls Engaged in Math and Science" and was designed in 2016 with the purpose of exposing female middle school students to STEAM practices and careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. In addition to camp activities, female guest speakers in STEAM careers will meet with and engage student participants with activities related to their fields.

Calling all budding paleontologists! Set up camp on Jurassic Island, uncover a land forgotten by time, and unearth the incredible secrets of dinosaurs and their ancient ecosystem. Walk in the footprints of the gentle brachiosaurus, race against the velociraptors, soar through the skies with the pterodactyl, and battle the might tyrannosaurus rex! This STEAM-fueled camp is sure to be the best learning adventure of all time! 🌴🔎 Challenge Island is hosting Jurassic Island camp at Lysander Town Park for the week of July 13th! Arts and Crafts Club: Perler Beads

Join us each Tuesday during the summer for a FREE arts and crafts program! This program is a great way to get out of the house, get outside, and encourage your children to express their creativity! You can usually find us at one of the pavilions, but in case of bad weather, we'll be in the community room. We're making perler bead art this week! We'll use small pegboards and perler beads to create images that are simple or complex as you'd like them to be, and then we'll fuse the beads together to make a work of art!

With the help of their Islandmon ally, STEAMaroo, and her adorable joey, STEAMpuff, our STEAM teams will tackle an island-full of engineering challenges as they evolve into true STEAM champions! Minds in Motion: Chemical Creations- STEM Camp
August 3rd - 7th | 9:00am to 12:00pm
Come experience a hands-on world of fun as you conduct a variety of scientific experiments! You will work on and take home your very own Chemistry Lab Kit, enabling you to complete many activities! Learn and discover many different scientific concepts in an entertaining and innovative approach. You will be trained to work like a real scientist in the lab. You will also make and take home some cool chemical creations! Learn all about energy and molecules, create a crazy bouncy glob from glue, and some scary green slime! Make your very own UV bracelet and watch it react to the sun.
