Tax Receiver

Tax Collection Hours: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.  

An After Hours Tax Collection Box accessible at the Main Entrance to Town Hall.  

The Tax Receiver collects Town, County and School tax bills for all property in Lysander. 

New property owners, and those who have paid off their mortgage in Lysander should notify the Tax Office as soon as possible.    

It takes time for changes in house ownership to be reported to the tax office and appear on the tax roll. Therefore, a tax bill may be sent to the previous owner until the changes are properly recorded in the formal tax roll. It is each homeowner’s responsibility to make sure tax bills are sent to the correct address to ensure timely payment.

We do not provide tax rates. 

Please refrain from using staples or tape on your tax bills when mailing or placing them in the drop box.  If you are using the drop box, please be sure to write your phone number on the envelope.
