Summer Science Corps

This year, Lysander Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a unique summer opportunity for middle and high school students: ESF's Summer Science Corps! 

ESF Summer Science Corps is ESF's own summer program, carried out in partnership with local schools, parks, and community organizations. We are proud to partner with ESF faculty, staff, and students carrying out the academic and research efforts for which ESF is nationally renowned. 

Summer programming is developed and carried out by current ESF students from a variety of majors and academic backgrounds- there's something for everyone! Activities emphasize environmental stewardship, field and lab work, innovative research, community building, and career planning, all contextualized for their weekly partner's site and audience. Presenters will offer programming that uniquely capitalizes on the resources and setting of Lysander Park and surrounding area! On the last day of programming, students will travel to ESF's Syracuse Campus for a campus tour and activities!

When: July 20th through the 24th

Where: Lysander Town Park and SUNY ESF

Who: Students going into grades 6 through 10

Price: $50 per student
